Projects

Since our foundation in 2010, we have completed over 250 projects in Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Nigeria, and Ukraine in various sectors. We work with the world’s leading development, aid, and world-renowned institutions, including USAID implementing partners, UNICEF, the World Bank, UNHCR, WFP, UC Berkeley, Harvard, and Tufts University, as a research and implementation partner, connecting global change-makers with local communities for research, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), capacity-building, and implementation support. The Jordan Nutrition Innovation Lab (JNIL) project, which is managed locally by Mindset, aims to generate evidence on the impact of USAID-supported Community Health and Nutrition (CHN) activities in Jordan. The goal of the project is to improve maternal and child health and nutrition outcomes through a rigorous evaluation of the CHN program. Our team assisted in the development of survey tools, data collection, and analysis of the project.

One of UNHCR’s most important refugee support programs is the monthly cash assistance to refugees. To determine eligibility for assistance, UNHCR requires data on their vulnerability profile through assessment home visits.‍‍Since 2016, Mindset has been UNHCR’s data collector for this exercise, whereby we conduct an average of 5,000 face-to-face interviews and home visits per month.

Designed in 2014, the VAF represents a key tool for informing humanitarian and development partners with respect to programming and advocacy for refugees' rights. In 2022, it focused on refugees living in camps for the first time and refugees residing in host communities.

The Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence Longitudinal Research, managed by the Overseas Development Institute, is a longitudinal research and evaluation study. The programme is the world’s largest study with a focus on youth in the Global South. It follows the lives of 18,000 adolescents in six low- and middle-income countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East over 9 years. Mindset is the research partner in Jordan, having provided support to several research projects.

Mindset contributed to a study comparing different assistant modalities - unrestricted cash versus food-restricted value vouchers - utilizing an experimental approach and followed-up by three post-distribution monitoring rounds.
