Since co-founding Mindset in 2010 and joining the team in 2012 as the Managing Director, Rana has played a vital role in developing the firm's institutional capacity to deliver client-specific requirements up to the highest standards.
Rana is an experienced social research, development and project management professional with a focus on development, humanitarian response, protection, and gender issues. With over 17 years of experience, she has led numerous large-scale, national, and international research and consulting projects across a wide range of sectors, from child protection, to education, health, livelihoods, social protection, and refugee assistance, also co-authoring several specialized research reports on these topics. She also has expertise in mobilizing work in new and challenging contexts, such as conflict-affected areas, hard-to-reach populations, and other complex and unstable settings in locations such as Yemen, Nigeria, Ukraine, and Jordan.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Jordan and is currently completing her master’s degree in gender studies with a focus on the Middle East from the University of London - School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Her academic background and professional experience have equipped her with the skills and knowledge needed to manage the operational and technical aspects of large-scale research and development projects.
