Child & Youth Protection
Through years of experience, we have developed expertise in working with vulnerable populations such as children and youth. Since 2016, Mindset has worked on more than 30 projects related to child and youth protection in Jordan, Nigeria, and Ukraine. These countries have been facing critical situations such as conflicts and economic crises, particularly affecting children and youth. Our team participates in various efforts led by international organizations and other institutions, to strengthen child protection systems, improve access to essential services, and advocate for the rights of children and youth globally.
In Jordan, we hold multiple LTAs with UNICEF for whom we have been conducting data collection, and performing M&E of their child and youth protection programs such as the Hajati and Makani Programmes. Another notable example is our participation in UNICEF's Violence Against Children Study (VACS) in Jordan, addressing the risks associated with physical and sexual violence, as well as cyber violence against children. We also worked with the World Food Programme in Jordan to support their efforts in improving child nutrition and school feeding policies. As part of Mindset Initiatives, we have been conducting a study on street children in Kano - Nigeria in collaboration with the University of Chicago and Bayero University. And we also performed a study in Ukraine on the impact of stress on children after the beginning of the war. These self-funded projects aim to better understand the situation of children and youth in sensitive contexts and gather useful insights for our clients.
