Livelihoods & Cash Assistance
Part of our expertise in the livelihoods sector focuses on cash assistance, used to promote economic stability and improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable communities. Mindset has been working on cash assistance-related projects since 2016 in Jordan, Lebanon, and Ukraine for multiple UN agencies and governmental organizations. Most of those projects target refugee communities or internally displaced people (IDPs), but they are also addressed to vulnerable host community members.
Our team has been conducting assessments for UNHCR and UNICEF to determine the need for financial support, as well as the eligibility for cash assistance in Jordan. Additionally, we handled several post-distribution monitoring (PDM) exercises to evaluate the impact of their cash assistance programs. Mindset also evaluated the German government's emergency support program implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic in Jordan and Lebanon, including a cash transfer component. In Ukraine, our team performed PDM and result assessments of different humanitarian assistance activities that encompass cash transfers supporting IDPs. Our expertise in cash assistance also includes the organization of financial literacy capacity-building sessions addressed to refugees and vulnerable host community members in Jordan, in order to inform and sensibilize beneficiaries on cash transfer modalities.
Thanks to our participation in cash assistance activities, we seek to be part of a broader effort to improve the livelihoods of individuals and communities globally.
