Gender Equality & Social Inclusion
Mindset takes it to heart to support activities aimed at ensuring that all individuals, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, disability, or other characteristics, have equal access to opportunities, resources, and benefits. That is why most of our research projects have a gender and inclusivity focus.
Our team has more than five years of experience in the gender and social inclusion sectors in Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria. In Jordan, one of our main activities in that regard is our long-term partnership with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) on their Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence (GAGE) longitudinal research; for which we interviewed young people on various topics such as sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence. We also worked on a UN Women's project in Jordan and Lebanon to study the gendered impact of displacement among Syrian women and girls refugees. In Saudi Arabia, we are the Authority of Persons with Disabilities (APD) partner; we support them by conducting research on various topics related to disability such as access to healthcare for people with disabilities in the country. Mindset also has experience in Nigeria where our team conducted the evaluation of UNICEF's program to institutionalize social protection in Sokoto State. This gender-responsive project focused on vulnerable households, including people with disabilities, and served to inform good practices in the domain of social inclusion.
Thanks to our strong experience and our insights on vulnerable communities facing social exclusion and gender-based challenges, we are well-equipped to support organizations in promoting inclusion as an essential component of sustainable and equitable development in various contexts.
